Listen

This small fox sculpture was made during creation of a template for my workshops. During development I make several test pieces and I chose to finish this one with the planar scraped back style that I am currently enjoying. I even left off the white slip on the tail and bib so it did not distract from the form.

The animal has her head cocked to the side as if listening and her legs slightly bent in preparation for a leap. Foxes often listen closely and tilt their heads to locate prey before they make their iconic U-shaped jumps.
