Clamped

So named because the tiny pincher like feet of chameleons seem to me like tiny woodshop clamps that anchor them to whatever twig or leaf they are clinging to. This fellow has a firm grip with his back two feet as he reaches out for his next perch. This design is from early in my commercial clay journey when I became briefly obsessed with climbing animals that could be mounted on wooden skewers and displayed in midair. I also worked on sloths and arboreal anteaters.
