As pelicans dive they tilt their bodies at what seem like crazy angles. Early in the dive this bird is flashing its belly as it twists and takes aim at the fish below. During the dive their wings fold in and they take on a more stream lined look. Although to me it always seems a bit like a tall lanky teenager learning to dance with elbows all akimbo.
